Friday Evening Keynote - Greg E. Podd, C.P.A., P.F.S.

Greg is a C.P.A. (Certified Public Accountant) and a P.F.S. (Personal Financial Specialist) having operated his own practice since June 1979. Greg became a Rotarian in May 1982 and is a member of the Evergreen Rotary Club.  On an international level, he served a six-year term as a member of the Rotary International Investment Committee and a three-year term as a member of the Rotary International Finance Committee. Greg served a three-year term as a Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator and a three-year term as a Regional Rotary International Membership Coordinator. He also served a three-year term as a Rotary Foundation Major Gifts Advisor and established his District’s Million Dollar Dinner raising over $3,100,000 for TRF in one night. 
 
During the Rotary year 2015 – 2016, Greg served as the Vice President of Rotary International and a member of the Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Council and Board Committee and the Workgroup to examine Rotary’s current International Convention model.  After completing a 6-year term on the Rotary International Operations Review Committee, Greg is currently serving a 4-year term as a Trustee of the Rotary Foundation. Saturday Morning Keynote - Andrew I. Lenec
 
Andy Lenec is the son of Ukrainian refugees who settled in the United States after WW II.  He joined the Peace Corps in March 2017 after a successful career in the United States, first as an executive in the field of Economic Development and Electric & Gas Utilities, then as an executive and consultant for non-profit organizations.  When Andy applied to the Peace Corps in 2016 the agency had just changed its rules to allow applicants to request their country of service, and Andy feels very fortunate to have been selected to serve in Ukraine, the country of his ancestors, where he found family and made many enduring friendships.
 
Andy has been a Rotarian for over 35 years.  While in New York he was a member of two clubs in District 7210, and was president of both clubs twice. Andy has extensive experience in management, strategic planning, board of director training and development, fund raising and event planning, all of which came in handy as he was developing the idea of an International Youth Conference while in the Peace Corps, the project that ultimately brought RYLA to Ukraine.   Read more...

Mark Daniel Maloney is a member of the law firm of Blackburn, Maloney and Schuppert, LLC, focusing on taxation, estate planning, and agricultural law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Alabama State Bar Association, the Alabama Law Institute, and is a past president of the Morgan County Bar Association. 
 
Mark served as Rotary International president during 2019-2020, when he successfully advocated for the addition of the environment as a seventh area of focus. Maloney also emphasized strategies to grow Rotary, presided over the first virtual RI Convention that was organized during the COVID-19 pandemic, and increased awareness of Rotary’s longstanding relationship with the United Nations.  Read more...

“A very special video message from Stephanie Urchick, Rotary International President Elect 2024-2025.
 
A Rotary member since 1991, Stephanie has participated in a variety of international service projects, including National Immunization Days in India and Nigeria. In Vietnam, she worked with clubs to help build a primary school and traveled to the Dominican Republic to install water filters. Currently, Stephanie is helping to partner clubs and districts in the U.S. with Rotary clubs in Albania, Kosovo, and Ukraine for humanitarian and educational services.
 
Stephanie's professional background is in the higher education, consulting, and entertainment industries. She received her doctorate degree in Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has been recognized and awarded by The Rotary Foundation and numerous community and international organizations.  Read more...

Bev Reed
Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator,  Zone 27
 
Servant Leader is a term that well describes PDG Bev Reed.  In 2018 Bev retired from a 38-year career with the YMCA, during which she embraced the need to serve in her community.
 
Her love for service carried over in her involvement in Rotary. Bev joined the Aurora Northwest Rotary Club in 2004.  She provided leadership as Club President, Assistant Governor, and
District Governor. Her passion for
training continued as a facilitator of
Rotary Leadership Institute, PETS Instructor and coach, and PETS
OPCOM Chair. 

 
Bev has been honored to serve in many capacities for Zone 27 including Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator since 2023.  Read more...
Dan Himelspach
RI Director 2023-2025
Zones 26 & 27
 
Raised on a ranch in southeastern Montana, Dan Himelspach earned
degrees in chemistry and law. After practicing law in a large firm in Denver,
he formed Dispute Management, 
where he mediated more than 7,000 lawsuits and conducted more than 100 arbitrations. 
Dan joined Rotary in 1993 and has served in multiple district and zone positions. He was instrumental in proposing club flexibility provisions that were adopted at the 2016 Council on Legislation. Himelspach has been involved in many local and international service projects, including a longstanding partnership with clubs in Kathmandu to provide water to a mountain community in Nepal.
 
He is currently serving as Director for the “Big West” Zones 26 & 27. Read more...
